TIPPING
roof tiles
Tiles are Australia’s favourite way of making roofs. From stunning, red terracotta tiles to solid concrete ones, tiles like these make for durable, reliable roofs.
But when you need to shed a load of tiles, whether due to a construction site, roof replacement or demolition project, it can be tricky to find somewhere to dispose of roof tiles cheaply, safely and in an environmentally-friendly way.
How it works
Recycled Concrete Products are here to service the Central Coast and Newcastle community, accepting all types of roof tiles and turning them into recycled quarry aggregates.
You bring your load of roof tiles to our depot
Load up the truck and bring your roof tiles to our depot. We accept all types of roof tile, including ones made of concrete, clay (terracotta), slate and asphalt. Our friendly staff escort you to the tipping place and you can safely tip your quantity of roof tiles.
We process the roof tiles
After this, we recycle the roof tiles, along with a range of other aggregate products. This involves crushing them for repurposing.
We turn them into high quality recycled aggregates
Then, we turn your old roof tiles into high quality recycled aggregates such as road base, slab fill and other products.
Benefits of recycling roof tiles
Spare them from landfill
Don’t let your perfectly reusable roof tiles end up in landfill. They’ve got plenty more life left in them when you take them to Recycled Concrete Products for recycling.
Spare fossil fuels
Recycling roof tiles is incredibly sustainable. Recycling concrete tiles, for example, means you’re saving fossil fuels (carbon equivalents) from being used in the production of fresh concrete.
Materials we don’t accept:
We will not accept any asbestos products including bonded asbestos (which includes fibro, asbestos cement sheeting, asbestos pipes) and friable asbestos (which is in the form of a powder or can be crumbled, pulverised or reduced to powder by hand pressure when dry).
